I really enjoyed this how-to book for women about having feminine charm and charisma. I thought that Southern women knew it all lol but this book opened my eyes even more and leaves nothing out. Every woman should read this book if they want to be the woman that is admired by many. I have also tried most of the suggestions and exercises therein and am happy to share that they work! I also recommend it if you are looking to steal hearts :)
I wanted to stop by again to say I have finally got around to reading this and it is superb!!! I have never found anything that breaks down the elements of charisma-or even the xfactor like this book. I do, of course (!) have a question. You make a distinction between the overly intellectual woman who strives to appear clever and the charming woman. I agree. However, I am currently engaged in some postgrad study and involved in large and small discussion groups. I am one of the brighter students and learn best by expressing thoughts and questions. This is in danger of making me sound a bit blue-stockingy. Does this matter in the student/work context? Is it unavoidable or is there a way of being clever without destroying our feminine charm?

Why can't we both? Smart AND charming? As well as inquiring, curious, questioning, learning... I'd say most men would prefer an intelligent and well-informed woman over an empty-headed bimbo any day. The trick is to balance it with femininity, charm etc.
I am reassured and I actually think the key is motivation, on reflection, am I learning here or trying too hard to be heard?
